The Last of Us TV series has been renewed for a second season. Original game writer Neil Druckmann confirmed that season 2 will follow the events portrayed in the critically acclaimed The Last of Us Part II video game. Showrunner Craig Mazin previously suggested that a season 2 was likely if the show generated enough viewership.
