Reliance Jio has suggested that 2G and 3G networks in India should be shut down to enable operators to cut down unnecessary costs and boost the 5G ecosystem development. The suggestion came as a response to a question in a consulting paper published by TRAI that sought opinions on the barriers to 5G penetrations and regulatory interventions that can overcome them.
